Janine and Wes's Greenwich Trafalgar Tavern Wedding

When a global pandemic scuppers your plans to get married you have very few choices in how to proceed: you can postpone, or you can go ahead, or both.

Janine and Wes had already postponed their wedding once, but when it looked like things weren't going to get much better in the coming months (which they didn't) they decided to go full steam ahead and get married anyway. Luckily for them the restrictions had died down a little bit and they were able to have thirty guests for a sit-down meal.

Unfortunately for them, their original wedding photographer was not available for their new date, and that's where I stepped in.

The Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich was, again, a place I knew well. Having lived in South London for many years, Greenwich has fast become one of my favourite places to shoot photos of all kinds. Bang on the River Thames, it's one of London's prime locations for almost anything.

Wes and Janine wanted natural, candid wedding photos that captured the personality of their guests and the family feel of the day.

These are some of my favourite photographs from their wedding.
