Bending and manoeuvring baby into positions they'd never get into by themselves is just not my style. I like natural photos where your baby is the focus. I stick to neutral colours that will always match the decor of your home and never go out of style.
I have two options for Newborn Photography: in the studio, or in your home. For newborn home shoots, please see Family Photography.
How does it work in the studio?
You arrive at the SE6 location -- which happens to be my home! It's already warm, cosy, and ready for you to relax, and baby to be the star of the show. We have two cats (Sherlock and Salem) but the area is hoovered and scrubbed prior to arrival, and cats can be banished if need be!
You have unlimited tea, coffee, and a tonne of pre-agreed upon snacks. You get the wi-fi code immediately, and it's time for you to sit and chill.
We make sure baby is fed and changed and then I take over. It's always a relaxed environment here, as the key to the best photos is having baby asleep which I will do! Being a parent to three myself I'm fully aware that this can take some time. Sometimes up to two and a half hours! But we persist!
Once baby is asleep, you'll be sitting nearby, but I'll place and pose baby, take photos, and then we're done. The photo taking usually doesn't take a very long time with a sleepy and co-operative baby.
